Distributing HDR output
I've got my DVD player and Topfield 5800 PVR RF outputs daisy-chained and sent to a multiswitch so I can watch them on any of the TVs around the house. As the Humax HDR hasn't got an RF output I can't add its output into the mix. Is there any way to do this using, for example, SCART?
TIA |

It really spoils the Freesat boxes have no RF output, it's a very shortsighted cost coutting exercise. |

Or use an old VCR if you have one - plug the Humax into an AV input on the VCR, select that input on the VCR and use the UHF output from the VCR.

I'm I right in saying when sending HDMI signals you need to make sure everything in the chain is HDCP Compliant if you want to distribute things like BBC HD? Just a thought I had after responding to this post! |

Or for a different way have a look at a slingbox, it works with laptops and computers but I use one to sling my pvr recordings across a home network to a tv in the bedroom and across the world via the internet when I get a good broadband connection.

Most people with a dvd recorder would use it for that rather than an emulator for a £25.00 modulator

I bought an RF modulator for about £18 off ebay which works fine. BBC HD does broadcast through it though it's downscaled, but that's fine for my old CRT tv in the bedroom.

I knew Slingboxes could send over Home networks and the Net but thought this was only picked up on PC's. How does this work with your TV?

I have an LCD TV in the bedroom connected via DVI to a PC next to it, I sling to the PC but watch on the TV. I dont think its possible yet to sling direct to a tv but I am sure that will come in time.
