Expensive, not enough guides on display to show where the shops are located and when I went I had to wait 45 minutes to get in the restaurant to have a bite to eat. Apparently there is a cinema there but I couldn't find it. In fact I thought the whole place was quite sterile and lacking character.
I prefer the high street, so have never paid a visit. I'm very glad Westfield is there now, as Oxford Circus and Covent Garden are a little calmer.

Well it was too difficult to find the locations quickly of where you wanted to go without walking around in circles for a while. There is not enough places to eat and the queue for Nandos was a joke! Also I too do not understand the reasoning behind such expensive stores during this credit crunch but perhaps when the economy picks up, it will be better...

Another good things is that you can get some stores that are not on the high street (not many). I still prefer Bond Street too.
Shopping centres such as this and the Trafford center are terrible for men's clothes, so will not be paying a visit! 
Although I dislike them the expensive deisnger stores like Prada would be the only reason for going to Westfield as they are all under one roof. I'd rather goto Oxford Street.

Everything you've just said is exactly what I thought and experienced when I went there. Was looking forward to going but once I got there I ended up buying nothing cos everything was soo expensive and it took the same amount of time for me and my friend to get into a Pizza Express!! I also have noo idea where the cinema was and it just was not one of my best shopping experiences, was really disappointed!
I love it - because as someone said earlier it means Covent Garden, Carnaby and Oxford Street are much easier to navigate!

It reminded me of an airport minus the tax free prices.
The posh shops (Prada, Chanel etc) had guards on the doors - so you had to knock to get in.
I walked from one end to the other (near Foyles) and then came out got on the bus and went to an empty Hammersmith and a traditional high street.
I will not be returning.

I went just before Xmas expecting it to be rammed and it wasn't too bad. It's all very shiny, but was no better/worse than any other shopping centre I've been to. I didn't go to the luxury section, which is I suppose what makes it a bit different. Oh yes, and it didn't have a Primark or a TKMaxx in it (obviously it thinks it's too swanky for them!), so a return visit from me is unlikely

Are the morons not tough enough to deal with anyone who is naughty... seriously, that made me laugh knowing they have guards in a shopping mall for shops like Prada...
Have yet to visit, I will no doubt go to the mall when I visit relatives down south.
It's nice but I wouldn't make going there a regular thing.

I tend to stick to the broadway centre in ealing...basically primark and that's it :P I have been to westfield twice because my mum begged me not to get a primark graduation outfit (both times). It's kind of funny that I didn't even realise there were prada and chanel type shops..I stuck to the DP, new look, next and debenhams (and disney store yay). I find that it is too big and very cold as well. There seems to be a very unwelcoming vibe as well.
I don't have a huge interest in shopping anyways so I suppose I was never destined to love it. I like the few places I go for clothes outside primark were close to each other I suppose haha. I absolutely love the toilets though, they're clean and they have those sterilisers.

It's OK i guess, but some of it seemed oversized for the sake of it and the layout is confusing.

I dont like shopping malls. I was at Brent Cross last week (killing time for an hour, dont ask) its dire i much prefer oxford street, bond street etc.
I absolutely love Westfield. It helps that my other half works at the bbc so we get discount in all the shops, but i'm a big fan. I love how new and shiny it is, how there isn't a macdonalds or many shops that attract scummy elements of clientelle. I go there an awful lot, but obviously it's better going to central as the stores are bigger, but you can't deny central is a total hellhole of filth, whereas at least Westfield is lovely and clean.

I have heard Brens Cross is not what it's made out to be or/and it sure looked not half as good from what I envisaged when I passed it on a Bus!
I have heard Westfields is marvlous, but then again if you've seen on Shopping Centre ... you've seen the lot, though the Metro centre in Gateshead would beat Trafford time and time again for me

Westfield is ENORMOUS and has almost every shop you could possibly want, with the emphasis mainly on fashion of course but with other shops here and there.
Really enjoyed the 'Village' designer area and the champagne bar in the middle of it.
I find the branches of UniQlo and Topman less overwhelming than their counterparts on Oxford Street. The only criticism I have is the eating area actually inside the centre is always hideously busy so it can take a while to find a seat. I've not eaten at any of the restaurants outside yet but I'm sure I'll find somewhere I enjoy there.

No John Lewis, Sanctuary, Jigsaw, Kew or Cologne and cotton but apart from that pretty good although some shops don't carry full range.

No John Lewis. The two(or three) department stores are House of Fraser, Debenhams and M&S. There is however, a Waitrose branch almost directly underneath the House of Fraser.
