any body know if there is stock any where of these in the country?

I happened to be in Curry's Basingstoke store last night, and asked if they had any. To my surprise they had 2. I bought one, so maybe there is one left.

Currys at Fort Kinnard, Edinburgh had two yesterday.

Currys chose to put their allocation of stock into the stores, rather than sell online, but they haven't included any advertising, so if your lucky, they might have one tucked away (probably in the Freeview section haha).

Humax had a Christmas/New Year shut down hense why the PVR's are currently even harder to obtain, suspect things will start to move from next week again, once deliveries arrive.

Definitely check Currys store stock. A lot wont have it on display but have them in the back. Most branches had 6 or more delivered before Xmas. Ask them to check their stock and other braches local to you under part number 808073 (Part# is also common to Dixons & PCW).

You might want to ask them to check local PCW stock as Currys and PCW share the same stock system.

Yes, Currys do have them at the bigger stores. Nottingham, Castle Marina had 11, now only 10 as my friend has just bought one and we even got a small discount (£5). Don't ask, don't get! Also had one on display and working as well! Currys at Derby have 4 also according to the computer. If u ring to check stock quote the stock code 808073 and ask to check other stores stock if they have not got them.

I have a spare one, bought it because I thought my box was faulty, but it wasn't. I keep meaning to take it back, but if anyone is near Birmingham and wants it, PM me.

Argos seemed by far Humax's favoured outlet, and seemed to get them before everyone else. I wouldn't put much store in the catalogue, it will have been typeset ages ago.

Strangely, when you check for stock availability in store, it says "available for home delivery". If you then add it to your basket this way, you can progress with the order, but then it says "Out of Stock" on about screen 3.

Comet aren't listing it on their website either, as far as I can see. Who knows what is going on!

Just managed to get an order in with Argos. Item page showed out of stock but when I put my post code in it showed as available for home delivery.

Spoke to Comet yesterday afternoon and they checked warehouse stock. 60 in that afternoon, But when i tried to order the final stage said 7 day delivery so i aborted and went to Argos.

comet are out of stock hence their long delivery times they are hoping to get stock in before the agreeed delivery dates said a person on the comet phone

I spoke to Comet yesterday. I was told 700 were due to them Thursday and around 300 were still available to order but wouldn't be received for another few days. I didn't bother as John Lewis should get stock next week and they give a 2 year warranty.

Don't Humax give a two year warranty on the PVR anyway?.

will they have stock around the 23rd feb. i'm going to ireland then currently live in belgium and was hoping to pick one up from argos in newry.
