vodafone unlock code updated thred
so this is an update. I entered the unlock code for my nokia n95 and it said not allowed (eg its being entered more than 3 times) . I took it to a vodafone shop and they couldn't unlock it either as they say its being permanently locked to vodafone. only nokia can unlock it , and he told me to post it somewhere in Newcastle to the vodafone / nokia tech HQ center
I was talking to a guy on the market and he said he would unlock it for 20 quid i didnt do it but if i post it il have no phone for a while any other ideas you wouldnt think it would be so much greefe getting a phone unlocked |

Have you tried calling vodafone? They usually give you the unlock code and instructions over the phone for about £20.

you probably be better off posting your problem on
Vodafone's eforum > Handset and Device Support > Nokia Device Forum (as with any forum you'll need to register before you can post) the vodafone admin there are usually quick to respond and very helpful

if you are on payg, it's free if the phone is more than a year old, otherwise £19.99 if the phone is less than a year old

Not allowed is the same message i get on my N95. Its down to the fact that i changed the product code to unbrand the phone (took off the vodafone branding). I rang VF 2/3months later for a unlock code which wouldn't work as the software had been changed, i got told i could send it to VF but they wouldn't do anything if it wasn't the original branded software. I think i got told only Nokia might be able to unlock it but i gave up because ive always been on Vodafone for 10yrs so i wasn't going anywhere
