Why can I no longer get Google Calendar (or any other https site) on my mobile phone?
I have a Samsung G600 on the Virgin network.
For ages I was happily accessing my Hotmail account and my Google Calendar via WAP on my phone then, all of a sudden, I get the message "Request failed" whenever I go to these sites. I think I can rule out the phone because I've tried another SIM on another network and it works... so therefore can also rule out the sites. I've been in touch with Virgin and they say there's nothing wrong their end but I'm not convinced. It's really annoying because I found those sites very handy to use. So, the deal is at the moment that I can't access any secure WAP sites on my phone... no https sites, that is. Anyone else had this problem and, if so, did they manage to resolve it??? |
