Pot, kettle, black here Ethereal. You certainly aren't backward in coming forward in other artists threads either, I've seen you crop up on many occasions with an opinion about Will, so maybe you might have an answer to the question you yourself have asked.

You've seen enough about her surely to know she's not that kind of person.

I am a Will Young fan and have better things to do with my time than go on her sites far less slate Leona I don't understand what Will has to do with the quote about Leona not going to the Brits

Not as much at all. I've commented about him on threads such as Sunday Night Project because I watched the show when he was on it. I wouldn't comment on threads about his music videos or songs because they don't interest me and I wouldn't watch them. Unlike some Will fans who don't like her voice and yet still watch her videos just to slate them.

It's also my opinion, that I think my favourite is much more successful and in so many different ways than Leona is or will ever be, so I'm happy and I've nothing to "get over", thanks all the same. I happened to have an opinion and I gave it, just because I'm a fan of Will Young and not of Leona, doesn't mean I'm bitter. I'm not a fan of Girls Aloud, but they sure as hell deserve to win a Brit this year.”

I'm sorry but people have opinions too & they are aloud to say it on here, whether it's been said a thousand times. If you're tired of reading about Leona being snubbed all the time, why bother reading? & what do you expect, of course Leona fans will come & defend the girl
Amazing

As many have pointed out Leona hasn't been snubbed by the Brits as she just isn't elligible. It beggars belief that some think the Brits committee have something against her when she was afforded a performance slot after being in the industry for two minutes.

Is this Getty you're quoting here. Surely not

Now that's just what she/he and she/her pals are always accusing me of doing. What a surprise. Haven't I said so many times, what goes around comes around.

I don't think it is confirmed, all their OS is saying is...
Quote:
“As it’s one of the most important music events of the year, the guys have got a very special performance planned which you definitely don’t want to miss.”

whereas they confirm they will be singing Up All Night on Ant and Dec on the following Saturday so I don't think they want people to know

With regards to the British single performers, is it likely that all three will perform the song they're nominated for? I would imagine 'The Promise' will be a definite for Girls Aloud especially after the lukewarm reception to the 'Loving Kind' and it's too soon for a new single. Duffy I can only see doing mega hit Mercy, it's just Coldplay I'm not sure about, although again it's likely that it will be Viva La Vida.
The reason I mention this is surely it means they have a HUGE advantage for Best British Single depending on how long the voting is open for. Leona and Scouting For Girls will have a 5 second video clip at best.

Still I would estimate that Girls Aloud and leona have the more dedicated fanbases who would vote in these sort of things so I would still have them as the favourites with GA swinging it on the night with a live performance of 'The Promise'. Although I recall Coldplay won this award for 'Speed of Sound' didn't they?
so they could be dark horses and Viva La Vida is immense. I still think GA though because they haven't got a cat in hells chance of winning Best Group so Single is their best shot at bagging a BRIT. Coldplay are not reliant on single and can win bigger prizes on the night.

I did not know that Take That were performing again? They performed at last years Brit's didn't they? And the year before? They seem to be everywhere at the moment...

I think artists such as Duffy & KOL will perform their no.1 hit singles - Mercy and Sex on Fire. I also expect these performed songs to rise in the single charts this week because of the Brit exposure.

Also, what a weird choice in having Lady GaGa perform with the Pet Shop Boys. I like GaGa but i am sceptical as to how this duet performance would work - especially hearing it will be a raunchy performance. The words 'Pet Shop Boys' and 'raunchy' do not go together in the same sentence.

I hope this is their idea, because the thought is too awful to contemplate if it isn't.

Imagine it, 25 years in the business, the proudest night of a long career, a lifetime achievement award and you're forced to share it with a singing'stripper' who's only been around for about 6 months. And we all know what the newspapers reporting on it will concentrate on, don't we?
I feel very sorry for them, their big moment looks like it's going to be well & truly hijacked, but of course TV ratings are paramount

Can't wait for tomorrow night Me and my girlfriend religiously watch the Brits since 2002, when we got together - with a bucket of popcorn, a glass of wine, and a packet of Haribo Starmix! Lol

Hmm i do wonder whether Neil Tennant happily agreed to do a duet with Lady GaGa or like you said, the BRIT organisers came up with the idea - seeing how big Lady GaGa is right now.

Neil Tennant did say that there would be 2 guest performers and the other one rumoured to be is Brandon Flowers, from the Killers and that makes more sense because of their friendship (they both collaborated on an Xmas single for charity) plus Brandon has stated that the Pet Shop Boys have been a big influence on their music. I hope the rumour is true because that would be a very good performance.
