Hi guys,

I need some urgent advice please.

We've got a Thomson 21MG15UT telly, which accepted isn't the most modern TV around. But it's a good set and does what you need.

But yesterday we bought a new RED digibox from Sainsbury's. Again not the most high-class digibox, but suitable four our needs.

After plugging in all the necessary cables and installing the channels we get a cracking picture.

The problem lies with the sound, though, which I think is to do with the TV rather than the digibox.

It's horribly distorted and despite selecting the AV channel,it's impossible to listen to.

I've tried reinstalling channels via the set top box, reinstalling channels through the telly itself, plugging and unplugging the cables and anything else I can think of.

I don't think it's the digibox itself as I remember a while back I plugged another box in and the same problem.

However, until yesterday we had an old box (similar to Nokia Mediamaster) and the sound was perfect.

And I've also tried just plugging the aerial in the TV just to pick the analogue signal up and absolutely no problem.

Can anybody help?
