Hi I was recently given a praktica DC 60 and it works fine but I bought a SansDisk SDcard 4GB and when I put it into the camera it just stays on Welcome to the digital world of Praktica screen. It stays on two minutes then shuts it's self off. Without the memory card in it works fine.

Can anyone help?

Many thanks

You should find the answer under the thread 'SD Cards'.
The card may not be compatible with the camera - have you checked the camera manual?
Aldi have two 2GB SD Cards for about £8, if your camera can't cope with 4GB.

Thanks all for your help.....and opinions :-/ I am only using it as my nan paid for it last year and doesn't want it now. Oh so what should I buy instead of this card then? I've checked the manual and it just says SD card which is what I thought I had :-S

Thanks again
