Panasonic LCD freezing
Help needed please.
I have a 2 year old Panasonic TX-26LXD6A. It has been no problem at all until about a month ago when every now and again when changing channel (via the up and down button- not going from 1-2-3 etc) the blue banner across the bottom saying channel program time etc, has started to freeze half way across and then it is impossible to change channel. The picture continues as normal. After switching off and on again it is ok for a few seconds and then happens again and again. It might then not happen again for days. Anyone know what is going on? I have no idea how these things work. It is still in guarantee and wonder if it needs looked at or if it is something to do with poor signal/atmospheric conditions etc. Thanks h h |

Hi
As long as you have checked its happening when no other equipment is connected Try reseting the tv to its factoty settings Press the menu button, select shipping conditions from these menus, then press ok a couple of times. switch off the TV, switch back on and this will do an auto setup including retune. (See the manual for details on shipping conditions) This process will reset the tv to how it was when it come out the box. This may not fix your fault, but its something that you can tell Panasonic that you have tried. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Similar problems
Hi,
I am experiencing similar, usually associated with the channel 4 series of channels. I contacted Panasonic and they sent me a software upgrade which has not resolved the problem. They did advise that if this did not fix the issue, they would have to put me in touch with a local repair agent. I have not yet got back to them but it is interesting to see at least one other instance of a similar fault. |
