FOXSAT-HDR Recordings onto external device
Hello people,
This is my first post after registering so be gentle! I purchased a Foxsat HDR before Christmas after ditching the horrible Murdock HD box. (long story but after 2 replacement boxes one after 3 weeks, there was no hesitation) I have transferred several recordings onto my PC for archiving. Seeing as the file type is a .ts and the associated threads on this forum have so many varied options and ways of converting it into more useable formats does anybody know why when you record a programme you get 3 files? File 1 - .ts, the programme File 2 - .ths ? File 3 - .htm ? Thanks in advance and finally, I have no issues with recording, setup, dodgy slow screens. Nothing - zilch - nowt - its perfect and FREE. WELL DONE HUMAX & FREESAT sps1013 |

WELL DONE HUMAX & FREESAT sps1013 Because when you play a native recording there is lots of information that is not in the purely video and audio information. Some is purely text like the channel it was recorded from, the date it was recorded , the information about the programme that you get when you press the information button. Other data includes the graphics to recreate the chapter thumbnails and time code information that links the chapter thumbnails to the right point in the transmission stream to jump to when you click on the chapter thumbnail. The extra files preserve this information without corrupting the pure mpeg stream .ts file that can be used externally |
