Bizarre HDR HDMI phenomenon
Hi,
I purchased my HDR nearly a month ago, and since then have been using it via a "HDMI TRUE MATRIX 4*2" switch into a 3.5 year old SHARP LC37GD** TV, alongside my Sky HD receiver. Everything has run swimmingly until today when I removed the Sky box (sub virtually run out) and the switch. For some inexplicable reason I cannot get the TV to display from the HDR with direct HDMI connection! Sometimes the receiver boots up OK....no splash screen or pictures via HDMI but all definitely working when connected through SCART. On 2 occasions the receiver did not boot up properly and switched off (red light) after about 30 seconds. I have tried 3 different cables with no difference. I have connected the HDR directly to another TV (much newer Sony) and HDMI works fine. I have connected another receiver (non-HDR Foxsat) directly to the Sharp and it works fine. I have now put back the matrix switch and it all "just works". Anybody out there had similar experiences? D |

D I have had this twice with my Samsung, to fix it I had to unplug the tv from the wall wait 5 seconds and plug it back in I think its the security protection getting confused on the tv Dave |
