Freesat+: Confused?
I am about to switch to Freesat and am weighing the pros and cons between normal HD and HD+.
After a brief search I can only find a few HD+ boxes and they seem fairly expensive, but there are lots of normal HD boxes from around £100. If I went for the normal HD box, would I be able to use a PVR with it, or should I just go for a HD+ box from the start? Also, any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks! |

The only PVRs usually with analogue inputs are DVD/HDD recorders and are not strictl speaking PVRs but rather DVRs (Digital Video Recorders)

That's the beast I meant, just couldn't remember the term for it. Thanks davemurgatroyd.
You can also only record SD programmes in this way, not the HD ones (at least not in HD). It's also going to be far more difficult to work, and much more limited and prone to errors - go for an HD PVR in the first place, you won't be sorry. |
