What a storm in a tea crap, I mean cup.

Sack him!? Nonsense! His observation re Todd was absolutey spot on: Todd was waddling on the ice like a toddler with a full nappy.

Jason's remarks on the show are fair enough, but if his reported remarks about the celebrities pre-show are true then I really do think someone should give him a good hard slap and tell him to get over himself. I don't suppose anybody would consider HIM an enormous celebrity... and if you don't like getting cold next to the ice, mate, bog off and annoy a judging panel elsewhere

Aww, no. Can't sack Jason. It wouldn't be the same without him.

What's happened to Ruthie this series? She's looking quite a bit older and her marking is much stingier than usual.

I prefer Jason to Ruthie.

I didn't like the comments made to Todd by Jason, they were disgusting and unnecessary, its supposed to be a family show, if he gets away with that it makes you wonder what else he is likely to come out with?

He's great TV and makes the show more worth watching - he is right a lot of the time too. He also gives the contestants someone to argue with.

Absolutely - she's virtually pointless....no scrub that - she's pointless.

He didn't say what I was thinking. What he said was quite rude and it could have been said in another way such as " you looked uncomfortable and I didn't like watching it".

I read on teletext that producers gave him into trouble for that particular comment and he apologised to Todd.

However I did think while watching the show and before Todd performed that Jason was told to cut back on the nastiness and be more constructive and I don't think the show would lose anything if Jason were to be sacked.

His comments are definately spot on, although I think he does get too personal at times. I particularly thought he was harsh with Todd, and there was no need to say crap, even though it's not a swear word it's still not nice on a family show. Maybe he should just tone down his comments a bit?

He's usually always right, but he's getting on my nerves now. It doesn't seem like he even likes the show, with him rolling his eyes all the time, slagging off the celebs before they've even started etc. I think it's time for a change!

I don't see the point in him being there. He has no concept of the level of difficulty of any of the skating - only how pretty their hands look.
I would prefer to see at least one more skater or skating expert on the panel. A token dance expert in Ruthie is kind of ok.

It seems that folks think Ray is smarmy and swollen headed, he's prolly been to Jason classes.
I detest the bald headed 9 bob-note (a knuckle buttie might help) but agree that he may help with the viewing figures.
Without him, the panel would be a lame duck.
If he wasn't so popular, ITV (Holly) wouldn't pick him so often for comments.

Have to say I really like Jason - he knows what he likes, has a very low boredom threshold and his tolerance levels are zilch.

I love the 'p****d off' faces he pulls when he's confronted with mediocre skating (it was great when Phil slapped him round the head for it) and I agree with him most of the time.

Its television, its pantomime, the slebs know what they're letting themselves in for and they're getting paid for it. How many people would love to have this sort of experience and do it for nothing or even pay to be able to do it.

Some people might think he's offensive - I think he's blunt, honest and very entertaining as sardonic personalities can be if you happen to like that kind of style.

I find some of the other judges too sweet and fluffy but I wouldn't want rid of them - it gives a balanced view.

...so that's what he should have said, because its slightly more subtle than the crass comment he actually made. He doesn't have to be constructive if the producers want him to be the villain, just say what he thinks in a better way. There are enough people who will be be positive and constructive on the panel (Karen, Nicky, Robin), or at least not offensive.

Jason was offensive, but to compare this to a gross abuse of position not to mention making obscene telephone calls contrary to common law is way off the mark.
