I really REALLY didn't like him. I think what it is (for me) is he sang what I consider (imho) to be old perverts music, so the whole greased back hair and suit made me want to yak.

I felt a little uncomfortable at the winking sexy attempts by him, but I have a nasty feeling he might grow on me.

I'm not a fan either, but for some reason Jeremy Edwards annoyed me more.

Ray comes across as far too over-confident and smarmy and this needs to stop. I didn't like his smug attitude in X Factor, and it's even worse now. His grin makes me want to leap through the TV screen and thump him! So irritating, but will probably reach the final anyway.

Shame I did enjoy his performance but as Dh said: 'all that fame has gone to his head'

I don't think he'll win cos being that good first go out will mean they'll heap loads of stuff on him and it'll be bad for him. But just how bad was he on the x factor I was out of the country when he was on it. But there seems to be a huge dislike for him from when he was on it.

its difficult cos hes so far ahead so early, it'll put lots of pressure on him, last year in the first week it was really close, suzanne got 19 and chris 20, but unless a girl comes somewhere near ray is gonna be on his own and the public dont generall like that.

I agree; as much as I didnt want him to be- he was really good and it would be unlikely that the judges would vote him off. I think he still has alot of fans from his Xfactor days as well so I dont think he'll be in the bottom 2 for quite some time. I can not stand him at all... just find him so unbelievably smug

I'm another who couldn't stand him tonight. I didn't watch him on xfactor but i was still aware of who he was and hes creepy for some bizarre reason that i can't put my finger on

I don't think hes a definite for the final though. He may be fast and confident on the ice but once it gets to the lifts and spins surely hes going to struggle? He looks like he couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag never mind throw a grown woman around his head.

Could anyone elaborate on why such a hate factor for Ray? He seems a reasonably nice (albeit a little arrogant and cocksure) young man.

He's not come to my notice before - I can't judge his personality fairly on what I've seen so far. He seemed confident and enthusiastic and excited ( he is young) to me.

He is a terrific mover and he danced beautifully on the ice. Not conventionally good looking, I grant, but I don't give a damn about that.

I don't have to like them, but he was fantastic to watch, he is so talented at a lot of things and I don't think he's arrogent, he is confident, that's why he's sucessful.
