He's just as vile as he was in the X Factor.

Very creepy.

The venom on here, seriously. I don't know why I'm shocked. So many bitter, judgemental people slagging off a lad they don't even know. By far the best on the show last night yet there are cries of "HE'D BETTER NOT WIN!"

Well, the show's about dancing on ice. Funny that And he can do it damn well, he'll go far.

I think he's confident rather than arrogant. He throws himself into things and isn't afraid of giving it a go. Nothing wrong with that, in fact on a show like this it's brilliant because it makes it more exciting. I've not seen anything in him that suggests to me that he's smug.

Ballroom dancing does not a figure skater make He's there fair and square, just like Jessica and Michael, who have both had significant experience ON THE ICE. Which Ray hasn't

He was a dancer - not an ice dancer.

Is he also responsible for the world recession?

Does he go around sticking pins into babies, and tripping up OAP's.

Is there anything he's not responsible for?

Why does it? I can dance but I can't ice skate for s**t

It's still SKATING, not dancing, despite the programme title. The malice and venom towards Ray on here is absolutely disgraceful. When, as Ignazio has suggested, he trips up old people and kicks puppies... then I suppose he can be described as "vile".

So you folks are not gonna vote for him even if he IS the best in the bunch? Just because you don't like him? So talent has nothing to do with the show?
It beggars belief.
It'll be the same as SCD, why on earth they ask you to vote for your favourite is beyond me.
Perhaps Andy Peters should have won?
Never mind, maybe Ray will break his back at some point.
He's a gifted kid, get over it.

I find him really smug.

He knows he's one of, if not the, best and that annoys me.

He may be the best as far as ice dancing goes (at the moment), but I prefer Ellery and would like him to win He's my favourite. Ellery is actually pretty good already. It's not like I want someone who is useless and dangerous on the ice to win.

I've nothing against Ray, btw. I even gave him the odd vote during The X Factor.

Couldn't put it any better myself! Smarmy is the word.

That slicked back hair is annoying itself.

Perhaps what irks me most of all are the Sinatra comparisons, laughable as they indeed are! How did Nicky go from jumped-up teen in a pink jumpsuit to "Sinatra swagger" in his mind?!

He is obviously very good on the ice, but personally I don't see myself warming to him, which is a shame as Maria is always so sweet.

You don't have to "warm to him", he's obviously the best, so far. Vote on the performance, not the personality. The world is full of ********, vote on the kids ability.

He was second on Xfactor, clearly the public WILL vote for him

He is great at Dancing on Ice, whilst we haven't seen the girls, I think he's quite a safe bet that he will be in the final.

I seriously think he'll win!!!

When he was a judge on the Baby Ballroom Championships I quite liked him having been one himself.
He is quite arrogant and I am not suprised that he is finding the ice skating easier than the rest because of his Ballroom dancing background.
His singing is mediocre but he is one of those Zlister-celebrities who just won't go away. Like something that has stuck to your shoe.

The personality matters a lot to me. If a person isn't likeable, then I've no time for them.

Also, in a competition like DOI. It is nice to see people with no or very little skating experience, no dance training, and no experience in performing becoming able ice dancers. Very few of them actually meet this criteria.

Ellery to win

I felt a little uncomfortable at the winking sexy attempts by him, but I have a nasty feeling he might grow on me.

How old is he? I don't want to feel like a pervert if he grows on me too much”

I can't stand him but to describe swing as old perverts music is a bit harsh

He was very sweet in Brookside but it seems hes just grown into chunky on acid to me. Hes far too hyper & cocky for my liking.

Oh Dear,This is my first time on DOI forum and I have to say how very surprised I am at the level of spite directed at this young man, anyone would would think it was BB.
The program is dancing on Ice and surely we should be judging his ability as such which IMO was fantastic.
People complained about John Seargent because he had no dance ability even though he was generally a lovely chap so it seems its a no win situation.

\i dont see Ray as particularly arrogant just very confident and if this was in America he would be applauded,I have never understood why we like to insult people just because they are confident and outgoing and I also admire him for being so.
I remember him on X factor and though his music was not my cup of tea (I liked Leona) I thought he was a genuinely likeable confident and charasmatic personality.

I think he will win DOI because he is a very talented young man and despite the level of nastiness on this forum he has proved that he can get the votes as on XFactor.

Ray has two things about him that have won me over - 1, he can skate really impressively, and 2, he needles all the blue meanies at home! Good one, Ray! I'll now be rooting for him to do equally well, every week, just so I can enjoy picturing all the rightiously indignant going into paroxysms of rage on a Sunday night. Keep up the good work, laddie!

He skates well, and for that deserves to do well, but I agree with what many have said, he is very creepy. I just can't bear to look at his face. There is something so odd about him.
