I used to use the non freesat option on the Goodmans HD box a lot. I haven't on the HD-R but wondered what implications it has on the recordings and/or recording schedule? Are they lost?

No, only doing a scan for new channels in non freesat mode does that.

I am quite interested in this - been waiting for this box for some time. My current pvr (Toppy) has the facility to save timers and then restore - in case you need to do something that would wipe out all timers. Has the Humax such a feature? This would overcome this issue.

It does not currently have this facility but it sounds like a good idea.
