I can say it quite easily because his performances were all about speed, power and tricks. There was no elegance or grace in what he did. It isn't just me who thinks so either - as I have just watched the tour DVD and the judges comments after his Bolero said pretty much the same thing.

I grant you the Rocky Horror Show dance was very good, but that was one of his best performances, and incidentally the one where he actually danced WITH Frankie. I also grant that he is a good skater - but he is definitely a SOLO skater and not cut out to be a pairs or ice dancing skater as he doesn't seem to be capable of skating with another person.

Ray on the other hand has everything Chris had (skill and power) - but with the grace and elegance to turn in a top notch performance on top of it

Depends on how the public vote and as they don't seem to know potential when they see it then surely the winner isn't always obvious.

Your tour DVD must be different to mine as they don't make any comments on mine about Chris. If he was so bad, why did he win more performances than ANYBODY skating the Bolero on tour and was crowned the Dancing on Ice Tour Champion

Well lilyscent - you are clearly a Chris fan who can see no wrong with him.

I am not - but I have at least acknowledged that he is a good skater (albeit not a good ice dancer or pairs skater). I can see why Suzanne beat him in both the main series and the Christmas special, and in the tour DVD show.

Ray on the other hand - has clearly demonstrated already that he is both a good skater and an ice dancer who works well with his partner.

I just wish he didn't come across as such an annoying little twerp though

Yes I am a Chris fan, I was lucky to see him on a few shows on tour, and the way he treat his fans was lovely to see. He was always one of the first to come out and sign autographs for everyone, he came across as a really nice person. If Ray comes across as half the person Chris is I say Good Luck to him
