Yeah, how funny! He must've caught Jason rolling his eyes when he was speaking.

I can't imagine Philip whacking Jason if they weren't best mates .... it would be a very dangerous thing to do given this age of suing and human rights pc craziness!! No doubt Jason will get his own back!

The opening night was not without its controversy, however.

The usually inoffensive Schofield prompted a complaint from one viewer after he hit outspoken judge Jason Gardiner round the head, causing him to look round in shock.

Here goes the mail bandwagon, Philip only looked like he'd tapped Jason and Jason got a bit of a shock and looked around to see what hit him, it was hardly a belt or anything, it was a playful slap.

I thought that was funny - probably payback from Jason saying 'cr*p''!

There's a big screen opposite them to see what we see on TV so they can really see themselves.

I can't believe someone complained though, no one complains about the things Jason comes out with, although I thought it was a rather hard slap to the back of the head and it's not like he's got any hair for padding.

When I watched it, I assumed it was all staged, which it probably was.
