Has anyone done this? Now that mine is out of warranty I was wondering about increasing from the standard 80GB HDD.

I don't think that model is upgradeable. You can swap the old drive with a new drive but it looks like you can't increase the maximum amount of recording hours due to some kind of restriction on the mainboard.
