I really thought he was going to fall and he seemed to be clinging to his partner for dear life... I dread to think what he will be like in 2 weeks time

When he cocked his leg up to do that move, I thought he was going to go head first onto the ice.

Good for him to get through the routione though... and he didn't fall.

I think Todd picked up votes for the fact that he knew he was bad, he tried and didn't fall.

Whether he'll hold out for another week I don't know... luckily for him though he has 2 weeks to perfect his routine/ skating as opposed to one

Let's hope he's gone by then.

Aww poor Todd...

I really thought he was going to go on the ice... but he got through it, fair play to him

He has guts I will give him that. I saw him holding on to her and really holding on for all he had...I hope next time that he is more confident, it really can't be easy.

No it really isn't easy! And I admire Todd for showing people just how hard it is to learn ice dance when you are in your 40's and have no experience in any related discipline and are not even sporty. It is very hard. I know, I've done it!

Based on performance he was obviously the weakest and doesn't possess natural talent, so it will be interesting to see if he can show some improvement by the next time. I hope so as it is an entertainment show and I think it's as interesting to watch someone who is a real beginner develop, as it is to watch someone who is obviously very good already.

I doubt he will stay in for very long though even though he does have the Tucker/ Eastenders fanbase.

I couldn't even contemplate skating, never mind dancing on ice. He really is brave and to get through last night was an achievement. I hope he does better next time around and has a bit more confidence in his own ability.

I don't think Todd will last very long. A couple of weeks, maybe. I don't think he will last as long as Aggy did.

Todd was so awful I'm surprised they let him go forward into the show.

That is a bit mean, it is about learning to skate and dance on Ice. I think he is a good advert for the show, what it is like for ordinary people learning to skate on the ice. Not all of us are perfect.

It's awful that the public vote let him stay on the show. He was dreadful and should have been the one booted off at the first hurdle.

Why the public are allowed a vote in these things beats me.

To be fair...he started the routine skating by himself (not in hold and not standing still), he didn't fall and he managed most of the moves Ok if a bit wobbly in places. Without previous experience and/or some innate ability to pick it up quickly it's not a lot more than you might expect in week 1. He now has got the first performance over with and has nearly two weeks to train for his next performance as the girls are on next week.

I'm surprise he is still in as he was so bad. I can see it ending up like another John Sergeant fiasco where the public vote for the worst contestant just for a laugh and vote the better ones off.

I nomally have no patience for rubbish skaters/dancer/singers on talent shows. But Todd really endeared me by how har he tried and I want him to stay a bit longer.

There is something incredibly endearing in Todd and I admire his courage. I've played Ice Hockey for years but the thought of those toe picks terrifies me.

Expect some surprises from Todd. Having seen him in panto I can confirm he CAN dance.

But the question is, can he dance on ice

Fair point, it's certainly a handicap having to do it wearing ice skates.

Thankfully not everyone thinks like you and a lot of people enjoy watching someone's progress.

Maybe you should stick to watching the professionals?

Im glad Todd stayed.
I tune in to watch people learn to skate and dance on ice. I dont want to watch people who already know how.
If it was purely about the best from the off they may as well cancel the show and put Torvil and Dean on every week.
To me its about progression from week to week and hopefully the not so good ones will show us this.
Putting people in who already know how to do this puts the others at a disadvantage from the off. They have no hope if they are voted off first round.
Why cant they just use people who have never skated before and watch/score their progression.

Hes downright Dangerous..
I had to laugh on This morning phil 'Oh hes not had a lot of practise hes been in panto'...fine stick him out on the Ice on his own then.
Only takes him to fall badly and take her down also..

He looked terrified.

I think he is actually quite dangerous though.

That would be good, Bodie and Doyle on ice, great TV. Anyway, so get a guy voted off the first week who showed that he could do a decent routine, but keep the guy in who wobbled and shook like a leaf and had fear written all over his face. Yeah great.

Why bother having a jury if the vote goes to the viewers anyway, oh yes - to rake in the money with premium rate phone lines.

There's a reason why Todd was given the least amount of marks by the jury.

Is anyone still nervous about Todd's performance this week?
