Is there a known fault with this unit which make the fan run all the time even when in standby? this is not a ventilation issue as it sits on it's own shelf & it never used to do it prior to a software update some months ago. Thanks in advance, Paul.

Its the way its designed, you have to live with it.

Have you recently plugged something into the second scart socket?

No, it just has the one scart to RGB input of the TV
