When I recently fitted a new quad lnb there was the ability to skew the lnb (I think it was about 5 clicks total) Clicking either way doesn`t seem to make any difference. Is it just an extra fine adjustment if needed or are there set rules?

Thanks

Dave

If you can, look at "signal quality" (not "signal strength") on your receiver. Signal quality should be maximised when the LNB skew is correct.

As you look at the LNB from the back, that is probably about 12 degrees clockwise. Imagine the LNB is the hour hand on a clock showing half past 12.

Don`t know just how accurate the Foxsat meters are but where ever I turn it to the the strength and quality both stay at 100%.The only time I saw a drop to 90% "strength" was before I cut a length of CF63 down from 20Mtrs to the fitted 12Mtrs but the quality remained at 100% even with the extra length of cable.

OK, I`ll just leave it slightly offset as you suggest.

Thanks

Dave

That'll be good enough.

I was having problems picking up a transponder on Eurobird 1 at 11642 V. Went out there and gave it a little twist and hey presto my Freesat lineup is complete.

I'm thinking of going out there and twisting it back though. Such is the trash currently showing from it.
