That's exactly what I do. I muted my way through a lot of X-Factor this year and parts of DOI last year. Life's too short to watch stuff you can't stand.

I thought he was absolutely brilliant, and it's only the 1st week. he has confidence and that helps a hell of lot especially for skating on the ice.

I don't often post here but I'd rather have loads of Ray Quinns cheefulness (or whatever you'd like to call it) than any of the nasty snidey people who back stab.

This is supposed to be a nice lighthearted family entertainment show, not a dull political broadcast.

Ray Quinn or News at Ten with depressing stuff - Ray.

Agree! He wouldn't be much of an entertaining person to watch even he he did the same skate routine just as perfectly if he did it in a half hearted way and look glum all the time. He is young and enthusiastic and sees it as an adventure. I do wish people would lay off him just because he happened to have roller blading as a hobby as well - everyone is acting as if he was a professional at it, or did ot on purpose just incase he ever ended up on DOI!! I would imagine there are one or two of the girls around his age who used t roller skate or roller blade too, but a big deal won't be made about it. And the fact that he is so good at dancing is probably why he found it easy becuase he has clearly naturally got that gift, children don't become top dancers just through loads of practice - they have to have a certain aptitude first anda great love for it. That, more than the dance lessons, is what made him good. He is also happy to have a go, is not afraid of making mistakes, and that is half the battle already.I just love him and his cheeriness and thousand miles an hour approach to life. He is a one off and is more than capable of going into something and really being able to pick stuff up quickly. Although the way it was edited, it looked like he was pelting around the ice first off - there was a clip where he was being led by Chris Dean, which must have been right at the beginning.

Great post, totally agree with this

I love his enthusiasm and his cheekyness/confidence, it comes through in his skating and i love the fact that he is very graceful and slides across the ice like it aint nothing.

Looking forward to his next performance!

must be a bit disheartening for other celebs to see someone so blinking good on day one, especially when you are still tottering around the rink. Have hopes of Ellery giving him a run for the title and hopefully a couple of the girls.

Not too keen on him, maybe that'll change as series goes on, have to say tho' he is very very good.

I thought he dealt well with the "i love you Ray" call out he had, and the ensuing laughter, just before he was about to start - it would have well put me off! That fancould have really ruined his chances if he was of a more nervous disposition.

loads of people can skate, doesn't mean they are talented. If he comes across as cheesy then surely he is untalented?

i mean he is meant to be an actor after all so if he cant kerb his cheesiness then i cant see how he is talented?
erm... i cant skate!

RAY QUINN IS THE MOST ANNOYING PERSON TO APPEAR ON TV!
Absolutely agree~ couldn't stand him on X-Factor and will not be watching till he gets booted off and if he doesn't then I dont care if I miss the entire show. He is nauseating.

That's fickle. He is very entertaining and if you are willing to miss the show for his 5 min slot then more fool you.

After Saturday he deserves to go a long way through the competition.

Totally agree, although a couple of paragraphs would have made it a little easier to read

Tintin has always irked me. Bland or inanely cheerful, either way he bores me...however - I've got to say the boy can skate. Unlike previous contestants he isn't only fearless he has a bit of rhythm too. Boy that hurt but its true!
