some of their 'non food' items are very cheap .... and they cant be near a use by date !!! Interesting.

Nowt wrong wit that. The stuff they are selling will be dated with best before dates... and they are just that, best before. A best before date is not the same as use by dates found on fresh food. They don't go off as soon as the date is passed, can be safely eaten months after the date has passed and it is perfectly legal to sell them at a reduced price as long as the buyer is well aware they are out of date.

There's nothing wrong with out -of-date food unless it's mouldy. I used to work for a cash & carry and we were allowed to eat/drink the old stock. Some of the crisps were a bit stale but chocolate, coke, packet and tinned stuff (unless it's blown) are usually fine..
It won't kill you, it just might taste a bit different |

Having looked at the site the offers aren't that great anyway, especially with postage added on. You can get cheaper stuff at Home Bargains.
