Does anyone have a link to update firmware for this Sony badged digifusion machine? I think the last was 1.5.8.
I have had to replace the hard drive so the machine has reverted to its original version which causes it to lock up overnight at download time.

Still had no luck in finding the 1.5.7 last software update. If anyone has it I would be grateful for a copy.

Hi, I saw this thread and another on a similar forum and decided to upgrade my SVR-S500 which has been on the same version for what seems like forever.

I downloaded the file and followed the instructions, and now the unit tells me that there is no aerial connected and cannot find any frequencies/channels.

I have tried doing a factory reset and formatting the hard drive and reloading the update again several times.

My previous software version number was 3.5.5 - I thought that the numbering system must have changed when I saw a brand new version 1.5.8 here, so I carried on regardless.

Now I have a useless box unless anyone can help me - does anyone have version 3.5.5 available for download - or any tips or suggestions.

The unit serial number start with 7 which I believe is important as that signifies the 2nd generation of the model.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks - but that is the forum that I already found which prompted me to do the update.

I am still stuck with a dead box. The unit works, ie I can navigate the menus - it is just the tuning does not work. It's the same if I install digifusion firmware (since the unit is a rebadged Digifusion).

I am wondering if there is another fault with my box - which just happened to be triggered by the update. Is there anything else that I can try?

I would still like to know if anyone has the 3.5.5 firmware.

The FVRT400 firmware for the Digifusion might be worth a try, as they changed the tuners on that model compared to the earlier ones....this gives the no aerial syndrome you describe, when applied to a 100/200 digifusion, as it doesn't recognise the tuners.

The tuners in the FVRT400 are Phillips ones I seem to remember, which are different to the ones used in the earlier Digifusions - maybe the Sony model uses these newer tuners?

Otherwise, have you tried a revert, such that the box boots from the flash rather than the HD, or vice versa - don't know which run bin file you updated? I assume Sony's allow the "two fingered salute"?

PM me and I will send you a copy of the 400 FW if you need it
