Have you tried rebooting the box boaba, as ITV HD is working fine, i'm watching it on my PC card.

Sometimes a reboot cures any red button problems with ITV HD.

Ah OK, boaba, not sure what else to suggest.

Have any other red button ITV HD users had any problems ? It's not unknown for ITV to screw things up with the prompt.

Why ITV don't just do a dedicated channel, all this twiddling around would disappear.

Could it be ITV don't give a t*** about HD? I mean, what can anyone find in HD on ITV, Football and that is once a week or so, and very little else.

I wrote to ITV asking, they fobbed me off that it was expensive, well, drop ITV 3 and ITV 4 which are CRAP, and do the future of TV=High Definition!

I take my hat off to BBC...

Grrr

FWIW my Foxsat HDR woke up but didn't start recording the Chelsea match. I was, however, able to access the hi-def stream via the red button.

I had the same thing, I did a factory reset and it worked, I don't think it deleted any recordings but it will remove scheduled recordings, so re-schedule

Welcome to Digital Spy Adrena1in. It should work fine when you get the prompt. This is the only time you will get ITV HD is when the prompt is shown, providing you are using any ITV region bar STV or Ulster.

The next time ITV HD broadcasts is tonight, give it a go then if you're still up and about at this late hour.

Fast-paced action thriller starring Sylvester Stallone and Kris Kristofferson, 2002. A cop whose wife was murdered checks himself into rehab and finds himself in the middle of another nightmare.

Yes
as long as the programme is being transmitted in hd and the option in the epg asks if you want an sd or hd recording or you are watching and the red button prompt offers hd and you then select instant record

Oh right, thanks for that, I did wonder if I needed to wait for the prompt. Like I said though, never really watch ITV to be honest, and that film doesn't tempt me I must say.

You didn't miss too much Adrena1in, it was very dark and drab film, HD quality wasn't anything to write home about either.
