It's just that fiddling with a cable takes time, effort, money and a certain amount of skill...
You tip may also come in useful when plugging the HDR into an AV Amp via HDMI if it too behaves inconveniently. I understand though that using an AV Amp tends to get rid of the problem also. ( Buying an AV Amp just to cure this fault does seem to be an overly expensive solution when compared with tweaking the cable
)I do wonder what other effects disabling the CEC line into the TV might have on the PVR (or TV)...
