Swapping handset problem

I put my 3 sim card in my wifes 3 branded phone tonight and all was fine, but when I put her 3 sim card in my 3 bradned phone, it asked for a 'lock code'???

Any ideas?

Tried that. Also tried my password and hers. It's weird. Surely the code should be either the handset code which is what I type in when I turn my phone on, or my missus's code.

you don't say what phone it is, but it's asking for the phone's security code, because you've put in a sim that it hasn't seen before.

on nokias the default is 12345. i don't know about other makes. you should check your documentation.
