freezing mushrooms????
I have a lot of excess fresh mushrooms at the moment and if I don't use them in the next day or so they are going to go off.
I was thinking about slicing them and freezing them to use at a later date. Do you think this would work? Anyone tried it?

I have done it in the past. It will depend what you want to use them for once defrosted really. I found they weren't nice by themselves, fried or whatever as they went a bit rubbery but were just fine if used in sauces, casseroles etc.

You can buy frozen sliced mushrooms. They are not good though.
Make mushroom soup and freeze it. |
