6500 slide acting slow

brats got a nokia 6500 slide and for some reasion it's acting slow, slow as in the back ground pic flash's fast but it looks like it's running one frame at a time also if you move in the menu it take 10-120 secionds to move , any idears on solveing this ?

Try a hard reset. (Backup your stuff first!)

I too would recommend completely resetting the phone.

Once you've done that, immediately use Nokia Software Updater to check for any available software updates - an update may help solve the problem, or at least alleviate it.

thanks, i did a software upgrade, was on version 4 now on version 8

but i did a big opps and forgot to back up his contacts
