Is there anything I can do to stop loans companies and advertisers calling my Vodafone mobile on contract? Change number? Block them? Etc.

That's a good site but it can take a month or more to kick in.

The thing I try is to use obscene language with them. I don't mean be abusive but chat to them and throw a lot of swear words in the conversation, such as "f*** me that sound like a MF'ing amazing offer. Better than the sh*t offer that stupid see-you-next-tuesday called me up about the other day".

Then when they ask you to not use such language, politely remind them that THEY called YOU so they will either listen to what you have to say or they can hang up.

You could just tell them that your number is registered with the Telephone Preference Service - the callers database is likely to be a few months old anyway - and ask them to remove your details from their database immediately.

If you then get further calls from the same company, repeat the above & advise them to remove your details or you will report them to Ofcom.

You should still register with TPS in any case, as your number will remain on a marketing list otherwise and someone else will start calling!

enter the number on here and see if anyone else has these calls. There might be an answer to what other people have done to combat the number.
