O2 Online - Delivery times?

Heya,

Very boring subject matter i know but any help provided would be very much appreciated

I don't know what the procedure is with O2 when you order something online but i'm sure what i've experienced probably isn't...well... correct

I ordered the X1 over a week ago from the website and recieved an email saying thankyou for my order and confirmation that £50 had been debited from my account as way of a deposit (yes, they wouldn't give me a contract without a deposit! ! i guess my credit isn't really up to scratch... which is odd... seeing as i've never even bought anything on credit before )

Well anyway, i recieved an email saying thankyou for my order and the £50 has gone from my account.... but other than that i have heard nothing. I was expecting an email to say that my order had been despatched with a despatch number so i could track my order online using the securicor website.... well it hasn't arrived.... and customer services aren't replying to my emails... grr

Has anyone else had the same experiences with O2 and can anyone suggest what on earth could be going on with my order? and yes, FYI, i am a dumbass

thanks

sam

Ps. Did i make the mistake of my life in ordering the X1 or is it actually quite a doody phone?

I know about 3 people who have bought from the O2 Online shop recently and on each occasion they received an email a couple of days after ordering saying the phone they had chosen was currently out of stock and they would keep them informed. They then heard nothing for about a week/2 weeks before they get an email interesting shortly after emailing O2 to see what was going on saying the phone was being despatched in the next 24 hours.

On the subject of the O2X1, where can I find out more about the handset? The O2 website doesn't exactly have bags of info on it!

£50 deposit - because my credit rating isn't up to scratch apparently very worrying indeed considering i'm only 19! I've been informed though that it's probably because

1) I don't have a credit history as i've never bought anything on credit or taken out any loans, etc
2) I've only been at my new address two months
3) I'm not on the electoral roll at my new address yet
4) They are jammy bastards who just want my cash

No news as yet. Keep trying to ring the premium rate help line (like a fool...) but it's constantly engaged and when i emailed them i got an automated response telling me to type in my tracking order number into the securicor website - well, erm, silly me, if an actualy person had read the email and not some automated response system, they may have actually realised that the tracking number is what i wanted in the first place but don't seem to have been sent because my order probably hasn't even been despatched yet.... GRRR!!!

O2 suck

xx

Ugh,

Found out what has happened to my order (finally!). The silly cow on the phone didn't put in the correct address when trying to debit my switch card so the order never went through!!!! The lady had already mucked up debiting my switch account the first time she tried to collect the money! Nice of her to tell me everything was fine when clearly it wasn't! I've had to re-order my phone again and, as such, have been credit checked for, like, the fifth time or something ridiculous like that...... don't suppose anyone has any contact details of who i can complain to quite thoroughly?

Just goes to show.... i probably should just get my phone from a shop..... i'm just too much of a txt whore though, so can't get away from those pesky 500 free txts.......grr

What?

That may go against your credit score.

Nope I have no name as of yet.

Sorry.

Tell me about it...... I ordered my experian and equifax reports to have a peek at what is so bad about my credit record....

Well.... seeing as equifax is used by, like, no-oe apart from O2, all i have on there is four searches by O2 over the space of 2 weeks.... not very good

My equifax one seems clear in that it only has a couple of searches on me, for like student accounts and such.... I'm not on the electoral roll in my new house tho (think i've said this before.....) so i figure that's what caused O2 to turn me down......

Rang the O2 help line today because my brand new order from this morning (yes i'm glutton for punishment....) hadn't seemed to spark a confirmation email to my inbox.... thankfully though, the lady told me that it had gone through fine. Both credit checks hav gone through fine (because i've paid £50!! grrr!) and apparently my info has been sent off for my phone to be boxed up and sent to me....

Now....what's the betting they forget to send me a charger? ....but, like, that's if they even send it out to me at all.....

I bet the £50 up put up was a waste!!!

I have heard that the X1 phone is naff.

Bad sim too.

Hmmm.... explain So i've probably made a mistake in ordering that one anyway? Ugh And to think i was gonna order the 7250i.... I was drawn to the lovely silver clamshell design tho.... and the twiddly camera.... and the motion capture... and, like, its free-ness!

If anyone could comment on the X1 it would be greatly appreciated... Is it hot stuff or just plain old fodder?

7210i is better but bulky.

Up to you.

X1
The sim with them fails.
Only a few cases reported but a few only sold as dear phones.

The reson why you where charged £50 was the fact of low credit score due to your age.

Does that help?
