Jessica and Pavel - the only realistic challenge to Ray and Maria.

No one else was even close.

One of the most important things to demonstrate in any performance is confidence and drawing the audience in, making them live and enjoy every move/moment with you and they 100% achieved that. The speed that Jessica and Pavel had across the ice as they came on was in a different league to any others as it showed a quality and class

Jessica really is a talented skater but also a very genuine person and she deserves all the plaudits she'll receive.

One point though she needs to improve on is her timing, she was slightly out of time not only with the music but also Pavel. This should improve as the series goes on and the nerves are under more control”

When have you skated with Jessica? Do you know her or did you help her in training or something?

Read back to post no 7 or thereabouts.

Robice told us he was the pro who skated with Jessica in Strictly Ice Dancing!

My fave ice dance of the night by far. Good interpretation of the music, really told the story.

I want them to get far for the same reason. Pavel never gets far in the competition usually but hopefully this year he and jessica will do well. He is a fantastic skater as i've seen him with really good skaters and i think more people should be able to see it

I want them to get far because I think Jessica is a fabulous skater To be honest, the only pro I've noticed is Frankie (and Andrei for negative reasons) but I think Pavel is, from what I've seen, the perfect partner for Jessica.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Jessica and Pavel do next week. I've read some negative comments in other threads about Jessica being 'cold', but I think her routines so far have been too serious to show any fun side of her!

She is a fabulous skater, but we need to see more personality now.... give her a fun routine!!

loved Jessica and Pavels performance again, esp the intricate and stylish lifts they do. They really are a perfect match, their body's seem to work very well together

I thought the performance was very timid and understated so don't understand about the judges comments about they need her to show more emotion etc etc i don't think that was the performance to do that in, I'm sure when they do a fast fun routine we will see more smiles and happiness from her

Looking forward to more from these two.

There really is a minimal amount of support for jessica from what i've read. I have heard that people do not seem to warm to her and find her cold.....She really is a very down to earth person.

She needs a routine where she does something which nobody else would attempt at this stage of the series, and leaves a lasting memory

I don't understand why the majority of people can't warm to Jessica? Perhaps it's because she has had a small amount of ice-skating experience .

Jessica is a lovely girl, and her and Pavel performed beautifully on Sunday.

I dont think its not warming to her i think she is good and will be in the final.

I just think the emotion was missing but hopefully that will come soon then her marks will be up there with Ray

I don't know how people can judge that emotion was missing. We only saw her face twice! The emotional body language was there in the movement.

I thought that was undermarked, and how can Nicky say that that was worse than Coleen's? Yes, Coleen was better than last week but she still didn't really dare to skate without holding on.

Hope to see something upbeat from her next week, like Suzanne's Fame last year maybe.

Jessica is a lovely girl, great skaker, great partner, it SHOULD all be there, and yet... I too sense that something lacking that the judges have said. Something is not oozing from her that should be, and its hard to put your finger on it. If I compare her to Suzanne and Matt last year, they were on fire from moment one..and not just the skating... it was EVERYTHING...they soooo interacted with each other and almost gelled into one. Perhaps thats it...they may look like two separate people dancing well on ice instead of two who look like ONE entity out there performing.

I thought she was good on Sunday and woefully and delibrately undermarked.

I think you are right in parts. But lets not compare their partnership to last years champs on their second performance! It takes a few weeks of shows for the partnership skills to develop.
I think it will work to her favour if people are a little stand offish at first. She can then be seen to develop more over the series and not peak to soon.

I absolutely loved the performance, I thought it was fun and fabulous and easily my favourite of the night.

However, what were they thinking with all the arm stuff? They gave her so many complicated yet utterly pointless arm movements to do that at times I wondered if she was forgetting that she had to skate as well. That's not a criticism of her, I just found it to be silly choreography and a dodgy tactic at "bringing out a performance". Less is more.

Loved this performance tonight. It was fun and Jessca looked good and skated superbly.

I agree, I think Jessica is a fabulous skater but for some reason I can't find much to get hold of in terms of personality when she performs. She does everything pretty flawlessly but maybe because she's so focussed and controlled, she doesn't look as if she can really let go and throw her soul into the performance as completely as she does her body.

Having said that she did look positively joyful at the end of her skate yesterday, and I think she will get to the final, and deservedly so. I would love to see her throw caution to the winds and do a really dramatic, powerful and sensual programme with Pavel, where she cannot help but respond emotionally! I think ( I hope) she will have a 'breakthrough' soon, and when she does, it will be irresistable.

Jessica's performance on Sunday was brilliant - My favourite of the night.

She skates beautifully, and the Week 3 curse for Pavel has finally broken.

Jessica is beautiful on the ice, I loved her 'Heaven' routine.

I hope she gets to the final along with Roxy and Ray

I loved Jessica this weekend (it was my fave routine) and she was undermarked by Ruthie yet again.
