I think last week's (to Unbreak My Heart) is my favourite. It was beautiful, very gracefully skated, and there was a lot of skating, with only lifts that were a natural part of the dance.

(I hope she isn't lured into focusing too much on lifts, as imo some of the others have been. Her skating is her strength.)

I'd kinda like to see a more upbeat and lively routine this week, though, such as Venus or the disco one. (What was the disco song?)

I'm also slightly concerned about the lifts. I hope they don't think they need to put more tricks into the routine because she was bottom 2

I hope that T&D know better! After the comments on Roxy's routine last week, it ought to be clear to everyone that big lifts aren't the answer.

On the other hand, lifts could seem to be helping Zoe.

Back on the, um, first hand, they have props this week, which ought to provide enough opportunities to do something different that lifts won't be so tempting.

It's not that I want no lifts, though. I just want her to keep having well-balanced routines, and not to be drawn into spending so much time on lifts that her skating suffers.

Interesting, I would've assumed Ray is a better skater.

From what iIve seen Ray skates maybe a bit faster and his dance skills are better but Jess has excellent basic skating skills. I would bet on her to be the first to do back 3's or double 3's in a routine but maybe they wouldn't bother with those sorts of things as though they require a lot of skill it probably wouldnt' be obvious to the average viewer who wouldn't notice what it was.

I know this is controversial, but imo while Ray is great at getting dance moves onto the ice, his skating, while still very good, is less impressive than it often seems.

(Try, when watching, to separate the dance part from the skating, even though it's somewhat artificial to do so.)

I wouldn't go so far as to say Jessica is definitely better, but it's possible that she is.

Wondering about it is all the more reason to watch what they do!

So happy they got through They must've been overjoyed to get through first as well and not have an agonising wait.

I really love this couple, they work so well together. I was surprised she didn't get marked higher for it.

She went through to next week without a hitch this week.

Can't wait for the tour.

awww not at all, I love watching them both.. just I lean towards watching Pavel's pert behind more than anything lol

Was just watching the umberella routine again and can I just say how much i loved the spin at the end, I think it was called the kiss spin but Pav did this sort of twist when he was moving down into the ice (don't know if that makes sense !!)and it just looked really good !!

mmm yes *kiss spin* goes into dream lol... and the bit where he skates under the umbrella and grabs Jessica and puts on that sultry look...

I'm just speculating, but I would imagine that the ones from this series who are on the tour are with their partners from the show.

Melinda is definately with Fred as she said she was taking a week off then training again for the tour.

The impression I got from Roxy is that she is with Dan.

I am almost 100% certain that Chris will be with Frankie and Kyran will be with Mel, but I guess it will be confirmed soon.

I would suggest that the only question mark is over Zoe and Suzanne.

Matt has said he wouldn't dance with 2 people again and he is series winner with Suzanne, but is with Zoe this year.

It's possible he will be with both or maybe Andrei may be with one of them. Although according to another poster, Stuart has said him, Florentine and 3 other profs from this series aren't doing it which would suggest that Darya, Andrei and Kristina aren't doing it.)

Shame if that's true.

I watched all except the first of Jessica and Pavel's routines yesterday, and they were good, even better than I'd remembered.

It's too bad their position in the show isn't more secure. I hope they can be kept out of the dance-off, because there are just too many ways that can go wrong.

Unless Coleen loses significant amount of support we should be expect a Jessica vs Zoe skate-off tomorrow, unfortunately.

That's the result I dread the most.

Especially in "jump" week, since jumps can so easily go wrong.

I'll just have to try to concentrate on enjoying what Jessica and Pavel do (as well as throwing in some votes, if I can).

I dread a Jessica vs Zoe skate-off because only one of them has a guaranteed vote - Zoe. No matter what Zoe does in the skate-off, Ruthie will save her.

There is no judge who will save Jessica no matter what she does in the skate-off even if she is better overall, because the other four are more fair (to varying extents).

I also suspect Jessica will be doing a more difficult jump given the difference in skill level between them

Ahhh, Coleen has to be in the skate-off!
