Im going to upgrade today and i am torn between the samsung pixon and the lg renoir,

i currently have an lg viewty, and i love it , i defo want a touch screen, with both having 8 mega pixel cams, i can get a good deal on both phones, but what one does it for you,

i am swaying the renoir, as it has wi fi capability, does it work just like a laptops wifi and connect to the net for free??

what info can you give about each?

thanks

Yes you can use Wi-fi free.

Samsung pixon is the better looking phone but the lg renoir has Wi-fi. It feels cheap compared to the Viewty too much plastic.

I would go for the Wi-fi handset it's a must on top end phones now.

It depends, the Renoir has a better feature-set but having used both of them for a short while, it feels clunkier and the whole phone feels like it's been slightly hurriedly put together. The touchscreen for me was absolutely awful especially when using the browser, and the build quality also marginally less impressive than the Pixon.

The Pixon is slightly less 'WOW' in terms of what it can do, it's a slightly more 'nuts and bolts' production but is generally a very easy phone to use. The touchscreen is definitely more responsive, especially when texting, and although there is no Wi-Fi which is a shame I found using the browser a much more pleasurable experience. The camera is also very slighty better on the Pixon.

This is just my experience, and other people may say differently but if you can get unlimited data fairly cheaply then I would definitely go with the Pixon. If Wi-Fi is important to you and you don't mind getting used to a screen which frustrates you at first, the Renoir certainly isn't a bad option.

in the end i went for the renoir, i had a go with both in the shop, but the renoir was offered on a better deal and i was slighly leaning towards that anyway ... i got this plus my 1st 3 months for 20 squid, then 30 squid a month for 700 mins and unlimitted txts ...

the renoir is similar to the viewty i already have so i am used to it and so far pretty pleased with it.

I have tried a Iphone it's the best touch screen you can buy anywhere.

The LG's have better cameras and all round phones.
