Mobile Data: Speeds

Thought I'd do some speed tests of mobile providers data services this evening.

My results:

3 http://www.speedtest.net/result/392896468.png

Asda Mobile (Vodafone) http://www.speedtest.net/result/392878543.png

Virgin Mobile (T-Mobile) http://www.speedtest.net/result/392891116.png

My o2 and Orange SIM cards cannot get a 3G signal - Think the SIM cards are old ones.

While in London recently I used 3's mobile data - I was getting just over 300 down and up - Was very good indeed!

All of the above done via the same Nokia E65 by the way.

The services do seem to vary a lot - the upload mostly on 3 - But from my experience the 3 mobile service provides a very nice download speed when in 3G coverage.

sorry to throw a spanner in the works but your findings are totally useless unless you know how many subscribers were using each of those cell sites & the QOS level they are provided by the respective networks.
