Imo, the show needs to do something about the problem that many viewers see it that way.
They should either make it clear to viewers that
being lifted is difficult and that the male celebs do not have a harder task
overall than the female ones -- or else they have to tell T&D (or whoever's devising the routines) to put more emphasis on the women's skating and less on lifts.
DOI skating is kinda half way between ice dancing and pair skating, and pair has lots of spectacular lifts. (The lifts are part of DOI despite not being mentioned in the title.

) But if the lifts are going to work against the female celebs with a substantial number of viewers, then imo the show needs to do something about it, one way or another.
