Can anyone confirm of they have had a software or firmware update recently? I was expecting something around 16/1 but nothing happened, tried searching for one etc. Any news?

Out of interest, Lazarou, why were you expecting one on 16/1? It hasn't been announced anywhere has it?

We have not yet announced any dates for updates. Only ambitions, when we have something interesting and firm we will make an announcement.

I have had my HDR since the start of January with loader U7.51 and the latest is U7.52. My daughter's HDR was purchased during December as an Xmas present and when it was first turned on it found new software which updated hers to U7.52. Was this a one off OTA update that was sent on 22nd December for a few days?

Shirley, you're mistaken! The U7.51/U7.52 is the loader firmware. The actual and latest (operating) software is v1.00.02. See: http://foxsat-hdr.wikispaces.com/fil...ystem_diag.jpg

I am positive that Humax have never sent loader firmware OTA so how you got U7.52 on your box is not via OTA. Maybe they installed this loader at the factory!

I saw something on both this and the Hummy forum talking about that date for an OTA update.

E-mailed HUMAX and got this:

"Dear Sir,

At the moment we are not broadcasting the Update for the HDR, but we should be putting it OTA soon but we haven’t got an exact date.

Kind Regards
Humax Support!"

Actually, that sounds to me, like it should be available on the webset (as the freeviews one were released initially) but not available FTA as yet.

The DivX support I'm very interested in! WOuld be great to be able to play DivX's from the USB socket or even better over the network. Can't see this ever happening though as there's nothing in it for Freesat.

Product brief is here:

Uploader 7.52 is available for download on the Humax Support site.

Its partnered with the 1.00.02 firmware.

I saw a post saying they contacted Humax and an update is due within 13 days now.

I have no idea how reliable that info is.

I'm presuming this isn't a typo.

Loader 7.52 has been on the site for a while and fixed the issue with single lnb stup's not updating the firmware. it only matters if you have one feed. If you have 2 then 7.51 will be fine.

Roumours of the next update seem somewhat exagerated for the moment sadly. We will just have to continue to bide our time

Unless of course, Bob_Cat knows differently
