Connecting a Hitachi KC1105D to an iPod touch
Hi, I'm not sure if I am posting this in the correct place but I just needed some help. I am trying to connect my iPod touch to my Hitachi KC1105D DAB. I have tried using a stereo jack lead but it doesn't work. Any suggestions?
Thank you. |

Connect it on what way?
Assuming this is the radio you mean: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Hitachi-Living-Systems-DAB-and-FM-Radio-Model-KH1105D_W0QQitemZ280302141201QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_AudioVisualElectronics_PortableAudio_Radios?hash=item280302141201&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1300|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318 It's only a little portable ..... no line-in. So are you trying to record from the radio or get the iPod sound to come out of the radio speaker? The latter won't be possible by the look of it (no line-in) unless it has a line in thats not mentioned on that auction? |

It's similar to the one in the link. This is a link to the exact one
http://www.twenga.co.uk/offer/5802/2...832036901.html I'm looking to connect it so that I can listen to the music on my iPod on the stereo, if possible. Thank you |

I think you can connect an MP3 through the USB slot, not sure if it will work for iPod. Try the USB slot...

Is your iPod formatted for PC or Mac?
If it's formatted for Mac is very unlikely to work. If it's PC, it *might*. I suspect the USB slot is aimed at USB memory sticks and things like that. iPods are not very 'open' devices. Some kit is built especially to work with them but if it's just looking for a FAT32 formatted USB memory stick, you might have problems getting it to find anything on the iPod ..... |

An iPod Touch is unlike any other iPod, as it doesn't present it self as hard drive when plugged into a computer. The music on the iPod Touch cannot be accessed directly.
