Lost signals - help please!
Had set up with Sky + and a GBsat receiver/movable dish, all working well. Yesterday received a Foxsat HDR. Removed the GBsat and installed the Foxsat. Set it up (using AB switches to split the 2 cables - I know not recommended but it worked with the GBsat). Did Freesat installation on Foxsat, then manual tune - all perfect. Checked Sky - also perfect.
Decided to try the Diseq function. As I remember it went something like this. Entered RGYBGYB and got the hidden menu. Changed to motorised antenna and got a message saying all channels would be deleted (I thought that I had read somewhere that channels would be deleted when first setting up the Diseq) so said yes. Can't remember exactly the sequence of what happened next but did a factory reset so that I could retune Freesat. However, no signal. Sky box showing some strength but no quality on one input, although even the strength sometimes disappeared. Any suggestions? |

Solved.
Have no idea how I did it but what I had managed to do was somehow activate the Foxsat to move the dish to Hotbird. Reconnected the GBsat, moved the dish back to Astra 2, reconnected the Foxsat and all well. |
