Just found out on Amazon that the Series 6 DVD is to be released on 9th February.

Ooooh I hope you can pre-order it. Gutted about SCD vids being taken off youtube but this is a little bit of consoloation.

I rather have SCD 5. They lost a big opportunity with not releasing SCD 5.

Perhaps they're starting off with the most recent to see how well it's received before putting out DVD's of the previous years?

Is this DVD really going to happen? Because last year Amazon offered up for order pre release the DVD of the previous series and then it was removed due to music licensing problems

Someone on another thread posted that when there was a problem with music licensing on Dancing on Ice, they simple changed the music over that dance, which looked really odd

I've seen the DOI dvds, and I think they are rubbish for that reason. I won't bother getting this DVD unless there is some decent unseen footage on it, or all the pro dances uncut and with the original music.

The series 1 DVD from 2006 was worth getting, inspite of that bizarre music change dubbed over, for some wonderful unseen footage and a long unbroadcast interview with T&D. I bought 2 copies, for myself, and a friend in Amsterdam, and we agreed it was worth having for that alone.

SCD1 and SCD3 would be a completely different story. I have them all on video but I only have my laptop at uni so I need a DVD of them!

I saw this advertised at the show, but what I'd really want is series 5 - maybe then I could finally clear my Sky+ box!

£14.99 for 2 dvds a bit much i have the whole series 0n 28 dvds only cost £25 plus £4postage

According to Lovefilm there will be a best of series 5 DVD!!!

no release date yet though, hopefully they will be doing one for each series

Be very careful Alice - if you ever have a problem with your Sky+ box you may find that you lose everything on your hard drive (I only know cos this is what happened to me!) May be best to transfer everything to DVD whilst you still have the chance!
