The Marsden's
I am actually starting to like this family.
Everbody goes on about how awful the woman who plays the mother is, but I actually think she is a really good actress and am starting to like her. The other night's episode when her and the dauter-in-law were arguing about the baby was really well acted, I thought. I think it's a shame they are being axed as they are starting to really become interesting, and getting some good storylines. |

Re: The Marsden's
The baby storyline is really powerfull..... i miscarried (for the 9th time) last week, and what she's put Paul and the family through has affected how we are handling our own upset...... I can't believe they would come up with something so emotionally strong, controversial, then just axe them..... I agree, the acting has been brill, just bad timing for us.....

Queen Tracy I am so sorry. I expect this to be awful if it happened once, but nine times must be heart breaking. Keep positive girl, and keep trying. I'm sure fate will stop being so cruel and you will have a baby sometime soon

Yeah, i'll be leaving in about half hour or so.
I'm gutted i won't be able to spend so much time on Digital Spy, cos work was where i had my main internet access. i'm gonna try to hard to pop in and say hi as often as i can though. I've made some really neat friends on here - such a shame that we have only just met. As for the above, keep your chin up girl!

Ive very sorry to hear about your news Queeny, and i hope everything works out for you.
O/t - i think the marsdens acting has been truly appalling, but, like you say, they seem to have improved over the last week. Its too late though, and im glad they are going. Ive never actually warmed to them i have to say. |

Bad acting
The "actors" who play the Marsdens could do with acting lessons from those actors who won there parts on ITVs programe when they searched for a soap family

Funny the topic starter should say that, because I was thinking to myself how they've improved recently...I don't know if I'm warmed to them or not, but I can't help feeling sad about it...
By the way, Paul and Siobhan are staying in case anyone didn't know. And apparently the Marsdens' will be leaving when Ronnie has an affair with someone (Siobhan, anyone?) and it drives Frances over the edge because of who it is and she goes mad with an axe And "the door has been left open" after that... . I find that rather odd considering they're new characters who were axed due to unpopularity, so why they'd bring them back is anyone's guess. I'm hoping that maybe it's because of their recent improvement and perhaps they're going to see how well the final scenes go down....if they pull off some decent acting (and this story sounds like it requires it), then they might end up staying? Anyway, as I said on another message board, the thing I hate about whole families being axed is that certain other characters suffer because of it despite having very little to do with them being sacked in the first place. Everyone knows it's the parents who are at fault here, but because they were crap, everyone else is axed with them. The youngest boy hasn't had anything to do so we don't know if he's bad or not in truth! And the young girl, at least she got a storyline eventually and I think she was very good during some of those scenes...she deserves to stay imo. |
