I've just renewed my contract with Vodafone, and I have Vodafone's Mobile Internet service free for a month.

Looking on the Vodafone website, this cost's £7.50 a month, but all I use the internet on my mobile for is checking football results on a Saturday/Sunday if I'm at work.

Do I need this £7.50 package just to get football results? If I cancel this package, will I no longer be able to access the internet at all? Or can I still visit sites, and just get charged for what I use?

you can cancel and you'll still be able to access the internet. i believe you pay a pound for the first half megabyte (per day,) and then it's free after that.

you'd have to work out for your self what would be cheaper. if you have a smart phone they really don't work so well with out data.

if you add the internet permanently to your contract it's £5pcm

you could always experiment with using the internet a bit more.
