Corrie so OTT the other night
I thought Corrie was so OTT on Monday night when the new builder guy arrived.
I mean, OK, it's good to have a new character written in with a good storyline, but that was just pathetic! Mike getting SO stressed over what? a silly little parking space. Then all that carry on when the builder was going to smash his car! I mean, come on! Now an inevitable long-standing feud between them, all within the first episode! Sometimes, Corrie is more like a comedy or a panto than a soap. Mind you, I still love it!!! |

I remember thinking while watching it that it was the sort of silly over the top thing that Eastenders would do. Maybe they've borrowed the writers.

I'll say.
What a noisy episode! I was watching, whilst my son (who usually ignores Corrie) was on the computer. He kept looking around, as if to say what the hecks' happening now! There was arguing, pleading, bickering, sniping, teenage tantrums, drunkeness, debauchery, kiddie mischief, and even nurse's outrage!!

I think corrie has gone downhill a bit. I thinkit needs some new exciting stories as i think Eastenders is much better now.

I agree, that was a pathetic storyline on Monday. In the first ten minutes, a new character and his mate had arrived, caused a scene and caused trouble with Mike.
Far too fast, and would you really get so stressed over a parking space, especially if the car/van/truck in that space had broken down and couldn't be moved? It was just daft and over the top, although no different to Corrie in general at the moment. I didn't bother tuning back in at 8:30. |

I never bother with Eastenders now, its too depressing and over the past year has become a load of rubbish.

Corranation street tries to be a comedy too.
They have Fred's humour and les's humour so its not just eastenders that is a comedy. |
