Sky Talk - Outgoing Call Bar
MJ2Day
23-01-2009
Hi All,

I have Sky Talk Unlimited and pay my line rental to Sky.

Since 16th Jan I have had an outgoing call restriction put on my line for no reason! I have called Sky every day since and keep being told that a 'service request' has been 'sent' and will take 72 hours to be actioned. One week later and still no service.

I requested to speak to a supervisor twice, the first one cut me off, the second was more apologetic and offered me Sky World for £25 for 3 months only to cold transfer me to the wrong department, who then had me on hold for 35 mins and complained that I shouldn't have been put through to them at all!

Yesterday I spoke to a knowledgeable young man who advised me I shouldn't worry as I wasn't the only person this has happened to. He explained that it is a system problem and that the I.T. department will look at it but it will take up to 14 days to reinstate. Apparently they're few on the ground in the I.T. dept. I was assured by the young man 'Not to worry, you won't have to pay anything for the service'.

Today I called Sky and was advised that the I.T. department has still not picked up on this and that it will be looked at on Monday at the very earliest, to be patient as once the service is reinstated Sky will call me.

Not very helpful at all. I can't imagine any service provider getting away with this in this day and age, so why should Sky?

I have emailed Jeremy Darroch, Sky's CEO a few days ago but as yet have had no response.

Any ideas anyone? I'm at my wits end!!

Sounds like you're one of of the famous 241 - see HERE.

Have you tried signing up for a 1899, 18185 or 18866 account and making your outgoing calls via them?
