Does Anyone Else Think That They Are.....

.....showing too many of the idiot "non" singers at the auditions this year and not enough of the one's that go through?

Really enjoyed last years Season, but so far this year, not really getting into it as much!

Any comments?

Yep. I thought this year they were supposed to show more of the good auditions, not the craptastic ones. It's boring and feels like a waste of time.

Yep, agreed. We've been complaining here when watching it. Hardly any good singers have been shown and at the end we get a quick glimpse of the 19 or so who made it through and we've seen about 2 of them.

Why are they doing this? We're going to get to Hollywood week and not have a bloody clue who anyone is. Can anyone actually remember anyone that's got through yet even though we have watched about 6 hours of auditions now!

Also, the bad ones are not even that funny this year either. Quite a bad start to this years show!

Thanks for that, we were thinking it was just us!

Yeah I agree. I can honestly think of four good singers who got through, and im not even fussed on 2 of them. Oh and bikini girl

I have been watching only bits of these auditions as they are slightly pointless as I know that the majority shown dont get through and I will never see again anyway. With AI I only really like when it gets serious. (same as when watching XFactor, although some of the contestants they put through on that show can hardly be called 'serious'.)

Yes I'd noticed that too, are they trying to show less of the good contestants deliberately so you are less likely to work out who will get through later stages I wonder?

Just guessing but it had struck me too. Havent really watched AI much before so I didn't know if that was the norm anyway.

The episodes we saw last Thursday/Friday seemed the worst so far for showing very little of the decent singers. Whilst the "bad" auditionees were funny years ago when these type of shows started, now they are just boring .. we've seen it all before and it's obvious that people are now just going to the auditions and being as bad and as weird as possible as they know they'll bet TV time .. a lot of the wierdo's are too contrived ...like they've been sitting at home practicing singing badly for months.

The audition shows really bore me now .. I don't start to really watch until the Hollywood rounds as the audition shows are a waste of time.

I've also noticed that they are showing more and more of the judges squabling this year .. if it's anything like the X factor I hope they don't start turning the show into being more about the judges and their relationship with each other rather than the contestants.

I have a feeling that AI is going to use a kind of feud between Simon and Kara to make "good TV" this year .. I hope not.

Yes the judges' 'feuds' and the bad singers who will do anything for their few minutes of humiliation have become an old tired joke.

Yes, the judges feuds and the bad signers are boring. I am looking forward to Hollywood next week.

I thought they were going to show less trainwrecks this year, as part of the revamp, but there seem to be loads, and they're spending a lot of time on them.

Look forward to Hollywood next week, although no one has remotely grabbed me so far

Me neither, but I am not sure that I want to go through the intensity of last season again anyway!

I've definitely noticed that but it doesn't bother me because I don't normally start watching AI until Boot Camp, and I've never picked a favourite before the live shows.

Well thank god the auditions are over!!!

Why they've had to show us so much crap this year, beats me!!!

Let's hope that "Hollywood" is much better, as I'm really not enjoying the Series so far!

Seen one fool, you have seen them all. These parts of the show, XF etc are just tedious now. 1 hour of it would be enough to get the show started then move on to the bootcamps / Hollywood stage. It's all spun out too far.

I like the audition
But I do wish they were optional, like point on the website as downloadable videos so we could just get on with it lol.
