Lisa - New Interview. Just what did BB Say To Her?
Lisa star of BB4, the woman that Cameron wished to kill, has just given an interview to the 'BB Fans' fan-site... discussing what she is presently up to, her fellow BB4 HMs, the Teen BB housemates and just what Endemol/C4 told her that they wanted her to do in that House before she was allowed to enter.
Here are a couple of quotes .... ''...BBFans: Do you feel it was fair you were portrayed the way you were? Lisa: NO it was awful the way I was portrayed. I am nothing like the person the public saw or read about, I am very caring and giving, but that's TV and tabloids for you. It's amazing what they can do, and don't forget there is a 20 minute delay, so the parts when I was winding up the housemates with "my scar was a shark attack" etc it was never shown when we were all laughing when I told them it was a joke, and of course me saying "I have balls to come in at this stage" was all said in jest but clearly the worst thing I could of said in the BB house. But hey there's no such thing as bad publicity and anyone who knows me and has met me will know I am very feminine and have a dry sense of humour. BBFans: What was going through your mind when you left the house to the reception that you did? Lisa: What the hell did I do to deserve this? All I did was try and save a dying show, but when you look at the crowd that night there was also clapping and cheering, its more like a pantomime than a gameshow.....'' Read the rest at BB Fans with special thanks to nicki. It's good. |

I like the way that we were right about Endemall and that has been clarified by the two-finger-death merchant, to whit, she was obviously a plant to hopefully once more instil vigour and interest in a flagging BB4 which had the capacity to remove trousers off people at a great distance. She wasn’t very good at pretence (unlike Camoron) but her role was only as a catalyst to boost interest after falling viewing figures. She annoyed me because whatever she says she most certainly IS like she came across and is in the same wannabe category as that Addams family bint that Major’s missus - what a horror she is!! I likened her to Tim nice-but-dim in BB3, another cretin with as much plausibility as an Emmerdale script

I can't bring myself to criticise Lisa. She did her best to entertain us and I thank her for that.
Sure she's a wannabe - good luck to her. She got a lot of grief from Big Brother so I hope she gets something back out of it all. |

I always liked Lisa. Yes, I know that she is a little pompous at times but so what? Why was she so villified in the House and after? What is she supposed to be guilty of?
I just love her. She had style & charisma amongst a load old second rate housemates (Jon, Federico & Anouska had already left.) A unique individual, she did her utmost to lift BB4 off the floor just like she was told to do. In my eyes ... a BB legend. Let's face it, like her or loathe her, you remember her. |

She was so interesting that all the others drifted away from her one by one repeatedly, bored by the bull she spouted and ridiculous claims.
That she cried off the equestrian event did her no favours either (and no, I really do not think there was anything physically wrong with her - as neither did our favourite altruistic soother, Camoron). There was nothing she hadn't done or seen or how dangerous she was and you wouldn't sit next to her twice on the bus or at the doctors!! What a charmless bore!! Far too full of herself and her self importance. (I know, you could apply that to several others in there but she came IN like that, it wasn't a REaction to others treating her badly, they reacted to her spouting daring-dos!! ) So I remember her, and Camoron, but not for reasons of longing! She had applied to BB before this last one btw. |

LOL! More the damage she'd do to her keyboard!!
It struck me that the reason she got off on the wrong foot with the already-in-there-HMs was she came in like a new face on Coronation Street often does, that is, steps in and tries to own the place straight off, as if they'd been there all the time and didn't have to go through any easing-in pleasantries. Past experience with Endemall and BB has shown me over the years that often HMs are completely different when you see them interviewd outside the house by Davina. They invariably are a lot nicer and often the reverse of how you imagined (or even saw!) them to be. This applied in few cases this year, Tania was great out of the house I remember, as was Nush. If anything Gos was even more boring out of the house, Scott was uninteresting, but Camoron was just as guarded and false. Jon was Jon, same with Ray and Federico was (almost) humiliated by Davina but he was Federico. Justine was the same (not keen!) and Steph appeared even more dense. Anouska and Sissy I didn't see enough of the former (well, Cam did!) and the latter all I remember was her dress sense was one she'd evidently cultivated in the dark! Yes, I loved them all!

I think Maisy's comparison between Lisa and Tim is very perceptive. They were both chosen because of their provocative personalities.
Lisa was in general a plant put in because of the view that "BB4 was boring" (an opinion I don't subscribe to) but unfortunately for her, she came to be defined only in terms of those limited parameters with not much of a chance to really establish herself in the house. Let's face it, she was always going to be an isolated figure - remember Stout addressing the others after Tania was evicted, telling them the public had voted off the right people and they were all such a great little unit together. Anyone would've had a near-impossible task of trying to gain acceptance within their nasty little clique. What I found interesting about Lisa's character was that it revealed how one's perception of oneself can sometimes be irreconcilably different from how others see you. Lisa saw herself as a tough no-nonsense woman with plenty of life experience whereas the others came to regard her as a self-centred, self-aggrandising hectoring bore. We should be grateful to Lisa in her attempts to add some fire to the BB4 house dynamic and in doing so revealing to us just how banal and charmless the rest of them were. Stout, in particular, was finally shown up as the *horrible* person he truly is. I get the impression that as well as being irritated by someone new upsetting the established pecking order, he also found Lisa quite intimidating - hence his incessant bitching during the night backed up by Steph. Cameron wouldn't have dared to say anything to Lisa's face however, revealing just what a gutless prick he really is. And whether someone is faking a panic attack or whether it's genuine, you don't just sit there, doing nothing to help and looking at the person with utter contempt. You just *don't*. In her final few days, Lisa came across admirably, giving *spot on* appraisals of all the others in the diary room and coping surprisingly well with the appalling reception she received. In her post eviction interview, she emerged as being articulate and perceptive. To sum up, Lisa isn't likeable, but she does command a certain respect. |

Let’s get one thing straight about that “asthma” attack (not panic, but still one of restricted breathing) of Lisa’s - I remember her doing the choking ”I can’t breathe” routine - and then promptly had a fag to make herself better! Cannot for the life of me remember anyone else ever inhaling cigarette smoke as a benefit to asthma sufferers, those with breathing difficulties but there you go!
Tell you what, it shows Ben’s right about Stout regarding her being a threat as there was really only room for one big mouthed, arrogant bigot and he clearly did see Lisa as a threat in that department. Undoubtedly compared to most of the others in there you couldn’t help but notice her but she is/was the sort of person who, once she has you cornered, you’re stuck as she bludgeons you around the head incessantly about how in the Foreign Legion she tunnelled out of a cave with her eyelids, walked 3000 miles on her hands with a 16 ton weight on her back , joined the SAS but they had to throw her out for being too tough....yawn. Bulls****er supreme - which is why ALL Of the HMs walked away from her - time and time again. She was almost as boring as Stout when he recounted his S African trip AGAIN to a stunned and catalepsy induced captive audience. He took great delight in exacting as much toe-curling tedium as he could by recounting details he knew no body could be interested in but he could hear his own voice.. |

I've been a first-hand witness to someone having a genuine panic attack and all I can say is that faked or not, the symptoms Lisa showed were consistent. |

Hi Ben!
Wasn't Lisa wailing about having trouble breathing? I didn't think a fag would've helped in that instance!!* I do know that pissed off the HMs didn't it, that horsey incident, and I do know that, as you say, the last person to offer any concern was Stout. Talking of said plank, didn't he also leave Steph to the others after she'd heaved her ring up with that punch? Him and her being such good friends too and he couldn't give a monkeys. He was good at being the good samaritan wasn't he, NOT! * I was a smoker and I had fags to "calm my nerves" only to find latterly that "scientifically" it does something to adrenalin levels and triggers brain activity and the reverse takes place - except in my mind it said otherwise, but a separate debate! |

Spot on Ben!
I don't smoke now but when I did I actually did find myself "having a fag" after a hard time - it psychosomatically worked for me! Equally, now, I drink like a fish - which has a hell of a depressive effect on my system! But hey, during drinking I feel great, so good in fact, it even allowed me to tolerate Stout during BB4! A rather fearsome fillip to the system you'd have to concede if it could allow me to stomach that abhorrence!! |

Not a vice Ben! It's a vocation for me!!
My you must have an iron constitution to endure Stout and co without recourse to a self induced altered state!! I long for the essence to return to BB, that is, the pure interactions of 12 incarcerated persons deprived of outside influence and writing implements, and privations namely hand washes and restricted food budget and our observations of it. I feel like one of my favourite unique "happenings" (Big Brother)has been hijacked over the years by the usual TV downward spiral of imposed "dumbing down" standards and it is because of that more than anything that I comment so vehemently regarding the likes of Stout and manufactured "winners". Ugh! It's difficult to be objective now, it's the cynicism instilled from years of Endemall bullshit. Is nothing sacrosanct? |
