Don't you think you should try it first?
Where do you hear the buzzing noise from...the speakers or from the back of the Tv?

Probably buzzing from the PSU or backlight inverter, a not uncommon problem - really it depends how loud it is, if it's only quiet it's probably not considered a fault.

I had speakers behind the tv, after reading the manual i figured you shouldnt do this . I will see if it stops now.

So i moved them and its still doing it, my setup that is near it consists of normal sky box, netgear router,xox360 and a pc. Could any of these be conflicting it ?

I had the same problem on an Acoustic Solutions 22" LCD that I got from Argos 0n Saturday for my Birthday...today I sent it back as the buzzing noise was so irritating I could hear it over some of the audio..so I swapped it with a Wharfedale of the same size and there is no buzzing noise...

I'd say if you still have the receipt send/take it back and swap it for something different at the same price?

Since I last posted I have changed my LCD TV twice more..all of them has this horrible buzzing noise which I could hear over the audio..I've gone back to an Acosutic Solutions 22" model and this one seemes to be ok so far..

1st Acoustic Solutions 22"LCD (loud buzzing noise)

2nd Wharfedale 22"LCD (disstorted sound..it was awful like an AM radio)

3rd Acoustic Solutions (diagnal distortion on screen on all modes and buzzing)

4th Acoustic Solutions (which I got today seems to be ok..no buzzing yet time will tell)

If I were you clare 9971 I'd try for an exchange for something simular...the noise can be sooo distracting so I know where you are coming from!

I only have a Humax 9150T PVR looped with a Philips DVD player hooked up to the TV set via a scart on AV1 and that is it..and it's none of the componets that were causing the problems on the sets I had before, it was definately the TV's!

The Acoustic Solutions LCD I have now seems to be operating ok I can hear no irritating humming whistling noises...

yeah give them a call..I think you should go for a swap or replacement TV set in the same price range!

How did you get on clare9971..any joy?

The probability of having 4 TVs with similar faults seems pretty unlikely to me.

Looking at one of your earlier mails

So i moved them and its still doing it, my setup that is near it consists of normal sky box, netgear router,xox360 and a pc. Could any of these be conflicting it ?

You do have a lot hooked up. I suggest you hook up one thing at a time and check it. Start with just aerial as that will tell you if the TV is working OK when tuned into terrestrial TV.

Then add the SKY box, recheck and so on.

Also make sure the router and PC are off when you're doing this. I've come across wireless routers affecting some equipment before (cordless phones) so close proximity may affect.

Also try to prevent input wires from 'crossing' or touching each other as that may also introduce interference.

If you find that one source is causing the problem, you'll have found your answer.
