I agree it was a great episode, and Kat and Little Mo looked particularly stunning. When Kat came down the stairs with her matching white jacket on she looked beautiful. Awwwwww

Unfortunately im out tonight and forgot to set the recorder so i will miss the best bit

Extra great tonight as well. Great writing as well, loved the comedy when Kat and Alfie were talking. And its always great when they use the different ending.

Not being an EE avid fan have to say was gripped.Hats off to Jessie & Shane for what I hope the begining of something 'special' on TV.Ladies & gentlemen I give you the new national treasures...Kat & Alfie. Now scriptwriters start giving this pair something cheerful to say.
They could just could be the Jack & Vera of EE & have a long & profitable future on our TV's.Only wish they had have saved these episodes for Christmas Day....they were that good.

That was GREAT!
Irt was nice to see it done so funnily rather than church dash, love you, oh love you too! romantic film nonsense.
kat had a more realistic reaction of "wtf this is my wedding day!" type mood!

They'd make a great new Angie and Den.
I liked when Kat said "You'll get another slap in a minute".

I think they could have done without the big fight though.

But mainly, the first time I've laughed out loud at eastenders!

I thought it was great that they didnt go down the predictable "oh i love you too, thank god you came" route and showed Kat being annoyed and actually taking a while to change her mind.

There were so many bits where I laughed out loud as well which was a surprise, all in all a great episode which avoided a predictable and boring path.

in the van with alfie and ian:

Alfie: "put your foot down"
Ian: "I Am".

and the clapped out 80's fish and chip van is going at 15mph, too much stress for the diesel generator.

I thought the episode was the best Eastenders Ive watched for ages but I must be critical of Actor who plays Andy. He seemed very wooden and I didnt like the role he played.

Yeah - and why was it such a good episode - because you really care about those two characters. They are sympathetic, sweet and very funny. Unlike all the rest of them who are nasty minded, argumentative and violent!

We need more of this! and less of the bully boy, gangster mentality and general nastiness!

HI All I am new to this board..

Everytime you switch on te TV these days you get war, death and destruction. Soaps are supposed to be realsitic, but I also think that the writers have a responsibility to reflect the lighter side of life and make people relax and smile after a hard days work.

I have given up on all the soaps to be honest, I rarely ever watch Emm or Corrie, EE keeps me watching simply for the brilliant writing and acting, and last weeks episode was quite brilliantly done.

So all soaps beware, EE is now and has been for a very long time the soap to watch, why ?? Because it remembers that people are in need of relief from depression and muder....

Oopppssss hang on...now then thats a contradiction with EE, but at least they make it watchable.

If I want murder, rape, robbery or downright depression I will watch the news at 10...

Please Soaps bring back some light hearted stories and some humour !!

I thought the Friday episode was really awful. The fighting at the ned was so sh**. Thought they could have maid the episode alot better. It is a soap not a comedy show.

Agreed. It was awful, just awful. I think a lot of people are confusing being "moved" by the whole Kat/Alfie thing with the show actually being any good.

The fight scene at the end was on of the most embarrassingly bad pieces of TV I've seen in a long time. Lots of characters we've never seen before obviously pretending to have a fight. Boy did I cringe.

No, I genuinely thought the episode was good for the reasons I've stated - it wasn't just typical romcom stuff, Kat actually had a normal reaction of anger.

I do agree about the fighting though. I'm sure there was supposed to be artistic about it but it was basically poorly acted by the extras!
Zoe was also awful in teh small bits she was in but the rest were top notch!

Whether he is "devastatingly Handsome" or not makes no difference to his acting, I thought his acting was poor.

EE is the most depressing of all of them. All that gangster stuff, general nastiness and shouting. At least you get comedy regularly on Corrie.
