I have bought an Orange New York. I dislike the earphones, and have just purcased an adapter so I can use a more conventional set of over the ear earphones. (hope that make sense).

It does not work when I use the radio, and the mobile gives me a message saying I still have not connected the ear phones.

At the moment I have not learnt how to download and play music, so cannot check if the problem is that the conventional earphones do not have a built in aeriel. The earphones supplied with the New York have to be connected to the phone even if I wish to play the music through the speaker.

Can anyone advice. Must I purchase special sort of earphones?
